ActSolar, Inc. is a new leader in the rapidly growing field of solar energy production. The company, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, is comprised of a group of highly successful leaders whose backgrounds range from solar power to IT datacoms to operations and finance. ActSolar began work with a vision of optimizing and streamlining the performance characteristics of not only individual PV array components, but the system as a whole.
With all the benefits that solar brings to distributed and renewable power production, the concern, and primary motivator to improve performance, was that a vast amount of energy was being "left on the table" (or "on the roof" in the case of solar).
